My coworker and I decided to go for a 30 minute or so walk outside because we had been inside all day and we hadn't had the chance to go outside so I saw this as the perfect opportunity for my nature walk assignment, since I am at work pretty much from the moment I leave my house around 8:30 to 9 am and I don't get home until 8:30 or 9 pm, it is hard to scope out natural areas near where I am because so much of my day is spent at work. The weather was gorgeous and sunny, and we could feel the rays of sunshine on our faces. Where we were, walking along Washington Street leading into Lake Street in Brighton, we could see small specks of nature, such as shrubs, large overbearing trees, small minuscule trees, and we could even feel the unpleasant presence of insects - I can even feel some bug bites on my skin as I am writing this! However, I am glad we went on this walk so I could experience some everyday nature!

After work, I walked about 30 to 45 minutes down Chestnut Hill Avenue and was stunned by the nature that surrounded me. Today especially, the weather was warm and sunny, and I could see some gorgeous, overbearing trees with extending branches and endless greenery. As I kept on walking I could see some bright fuchsia colored flowers, which I believe are known as the Fall Phlox, or at least that is the flower that I believe mostly closely represents it, freshly blooming with various tones of green leaves surround it. As I walked further down the street, I saw a large tree hidden in the distance, but instead of bright shades of green, I witness dark shades of purple on these leaves, and I know that these trees with that gorgeous dark purple color are typically known as plum trees, or podocarps. While this area was not necessarily an isolated place in nature, I believe in these areas of Brighton, you can find nature almost anywhere and everywhere if you are looking for it.
