Nature Walk: Plant Themed

On my nature walk today I went to the Chestnut Hill Reservoir. It was very sunny out and I saw many plants and insects around the plants. I saw many animals such as geese and swans. In one of my first observations (the one labeled Something), I noticed that there was an insect on the leaves of plant. I did not know what exactly the plant was, but I found it interesting because of the way it was structured, but also to see the way the insect interacted with it. In addition, another planet that I saw was the Common Milkweed, this one stood out to me because of the color and I noticed that it was dying. My favorite part of the walk was being able to capture the butterfly, tribe Lycaenini, flying from plant to plant. I had first noticed it when observing the chamomiles on the reservoir, but it kept flying away, so i tried to not get too close so that it doesn’t get scared. I saw many butterflies today, but some were I was not able to capture because of how much they moved. When looking at the water I also questioned if there would be any plants there as well.
