The following projects could not be incorporated as they are already umbrella projects:

Comments from Botswana.

Looks like we need to find a way for creating regional collection projects for freshwater crustacea which somehow excludes those living in salty water. How ?
Easy for oceanless Botswana perhaps but what do we do about salty pans ?

2 Freshwater diptera and their larvae ? How do we make a collection project ?
Underestimated ? a quote from
https://www.researchgate.net/publication/331780935_Ecological_and_Societal_Services_of_Aquatic_Diptera
'More than any other group of macro-organisms, true flies (Diptera) dominate the freshwater environment. Nearly one-third of all flies—roughly 46,000 species—have some developmental connection with an aquatic environment. Their abundance, ubiquity, and diversity of adaptations to the aquatic environment position them as major drivers of ecosystem processes and as sources of products and bioinspiration for the benefit of human society. Larval flies are well represented as ecosystem engineers and keystone species that alter the abiotic and biotic environments through activities such as burrowing, grazing, suspension feeding, and predation. The enormous populations sometimes achieved by aquatic flies can provide the sole or major dietary component for other organisms.'
3 Leeches and freshwater annelids ?
4 Freshwater sponges rotifers, protozoa, wormy parasites of fish, Cnidaria all deserve collection projects etc
5 Freshwater acarids mites and spiders ?
6 Freshwater molluscs ? easy for Botswana but how do they get separated in a regional collection project from their saltywater versions.
7 Plants ? Freshwater algae is there a project ?

Should there be or is there an annotation that distinguished the freshwater from the saltwater for aquatic and marine organisms ?

Nice to see our close neighbours Zambia and Angola included in this umbrella project !
