300+ species!

It's been a busy year in the woods!

We have now reached the often aspired to milestone of 300 species, with over 550 observations to date.

Favourite recent observations are the rings of trooping funnel appearing on site, a splitgill mushroom and trumpet lichen. We found a fabulous Poplar Hawkmoth on a volunteer Sunday, as well as other insects including a marmalade hover fly and devil's coach horse beetle. More birds have been added, including a juvenile green woodpecker.

Thank you to all the volunteers that have helped spot new species, as well as the wider iNaturalist community helping us identify our findings!
