The Nez Perce National Historical Park - 30 new taxa for my life list

Last Friday (August 26) I returned to the Historical Park and made 39 iNat observations. These included 5 families, 13 genera, and 12 species that were new to my iNat Life List, adding 30 my total life taxa list. My new total is 692.

Several of the insects were especially exciting: the Western Tiger Beetle, Big-eyed Toad Bugs, the Jagged Ambush Bug, and a fierce looking Robber Fly (Efferia sp.). It was also nice to see the Purplish Copper, Satyr Comma, and Viceroy.

I brought in a somewhat similar haul from Big Bear Lake last week. Same tiger beetle, and some toad bugs among a long list.

You happen to know how to ID toad bugs? I probably found a big eyed one based on how common the species is but don't know how to rule out other species:

No, I don't know much about IDing toad bugs. In fact, these were the first ones that I've seen. But according to BugGuide there are only 8 species of toad bugs in 2 genera, so they should be pretty easy to ID.

I sent my photos to BugGuide and they said both individuals (which looked quite different to me) were in the same species: Gelastocoris oculatus (the Big-Eyed Toad Bug). Yours looks very similar to this one from their site.
