CA FUNDIS Year 2

This iNat project pertains to collections made during Year 2 (2024) for CA FUNDIS, a project created by Fungal Diversity Survey (FUNDIS), that aims to make California an unprecedented model for civic engagement in documenting and protecting fungi for the rest of North America. Funding thanks to the State of California and California Institute for Biodiversity.

FUNDIS (fundis.org) aims to contribute to the protection of Earth's biodiversity by focusing on the conservation of fungi and their habitats. By increasing public awareness of fungal biodiversity, training community scientists in survey protocols, and providing data to land managers and scientists, we hope to facilitate a movement of conservation work focused specifically on fungi in California. menos ↑
