We're happy to announce another online meeting! Here are the details:
Thanks to efforts by @edanko, we have a very good outline of the species of the family Chaoboridae in the United States and Canada. This week we will look at this outline, learn about the different species and their identification, and then put the information to use by identifying the Chaoboridae on iNaturalist.
Just as a reminder: our meetings are entirely informal, and everyone is invited to speak their minds and ask questions to the group. Participation is key to learning!
Please leave a comment either to let us know if you're planning to come or to subscribe to be notified of future events! Questions are also welcome.
Check out the outline for Chaoboridae here!
The Zoom meeting will open at 8 PM EDT on Sunday the 28th.

Please note that this meeting and all other future meetings are at 8 PM EDT unless otherwise specified, such as a field meeting.
I will join you on Sunday!
Great!
I haven't done one of these before but keep wanting to. I'm thinking of joining to see if I can keep up and what I might learn.
Awesome!
Ooh, I hope I can join this one! Chaoborids are cool. :-)
Last Sunday Field Experiment seemed to work great! I was at a Downeast Coastal Conservancy preserve in Lubec, Maine, on Cobscook Bay. Using my iPhone zoom app I was able to see and hear Zachary and the images he showed on his own camera. I had another, botany, agenda that day at the Klondike Mountain preserve, so I could only watch for about fifteen minutes. I never figured out how to make myself heard at your end of the process. I tried all my volume controls on the phone without luck, but your part of the zoom looked very good.
