Brilliant effort by all for a weekend of observing nature and a further 2 weeks to identify all the observations.

Please note: due to a quirk in iNaturalist, the "species" [species and higher leaves) totals on the project leaderboard are different from those on the individual projects (which includes subspecies). These are the values from the project pages.
Note the figures for Stellenbosch exclude observations from a user who has blocked access her data.

Overall, although we had 1412 identifiers, the most faved observation so far (a tie of three observations) only has 9 faves - that is less than 1% of identifier's votes.
Clearly, we need our identifiers to be far more liberal at voting favourites, and we need to involve observers as well.
