I have spent my life in delight over plants, birds, insects, reptiles, fungi. I see no danger of boredom in this lifetime. I have only recently become more disciplined about adding obs to iNat, primarily of plants and fungi. When I fell into the fungal rabbit hole, somehow, I went straight for the sub centimeter organisms. My faves are typically small and oddball.
