First observation in this park, and my first time seeing one! I accidentally touched poison ivy when I grabbed the trunk in my excitement so I didn’t stick around too long to check for blight. I’ll probably go back next week to take a closer look at this tree. There were three trunks - 1 big, 1 small, and one chopped off. Leaves hairless, except on midrib on the underside of the leaf.
Update: I didn’t see any signs of blight, but a deer appears to have eaten the smaller trunk off

There were at least of 6 of them this day on an overlook across from Summitville Mine. Set up the GoPro since they were curious and approaching me, and got this great photo and video when they were messing with the camera. One of the my favorite critter encounters in two years of traveling.
