This female Mallard landed in our pool, attempting to nest.
We tried hazing her, scaring her away every time she flew into the pool looking for a nesting spot (literally she did this every 5 minutes all day every day until we saw her emerging from the bushes, having snuck by us in the night).
She was drinking the chlorinated pool water.
