Polyphylla sp. as prey. No scale or full photo, but this is canine scat and foxes seem much more likely to contain mostly insect prey than coyotes. Gray fox is the expected species here and we saw one in the area.
Noticed on the salmon pass trail while leading a group hike.
Lots of landscaping in the area but this looks very bearish.
