Elizabeth and I went over to this park in North Richland Hills to do a bit of blacklighting -- it drizzled a little bit on us, but some neat bugs still showed up! :)

Found this specimen under some soil near some fungi. This specimen appeared to have a head the same width as pronotum with pinchers mouth parts. The elytra had some ridges. Based off these findings, I believe this to be a ground beetle, which is part of the family Carabidae.
