I'd love to get an ID on this one. Never seen anything like it!
Three animals seen today; two of them in a different section of the waterway to recent sightings. Third photo shows animal scratching with hind foot, which is not uncommon.
Enormous numbers of fungal fruiting bodies, mostly exotic, growing in pine plantation, largely in the taller, darker, wetter areas. The 4th photo shows something had been eating one of these, though in general they were untouched (being toxic).
Growing in dry exposed granite soils.
