Yup, lots of them on this Artemisia Californica bush, few to none on the bush right next to it.
probably Q. durata x Q. lobata hybrid. (Is there a name for this? If not, perhaps Q. dubata? Q. lorata? Q. dubia?)
Grow on pure serpentine soil, very rare. I have no clue even which plant family this belongs to, and have only put a provisions name on it. Flower diameter about one cm.
