When we sampled for bees at Fort Union, we stayed overnight at Rio Mora National Wildlife Refuge. I found a few fellas here before heading back!
Clearly a queen ant of some king, looks like a harvester ant, but the coloring is different than what I’ve seen in Arizona. There appeared to be two queens digging the same hole? I’ve never seen that before. Maybe a hint.

When I wrapped up with drawing for the night, I found quite a few fellas on the window watching me!
I found a few fellas in the guest house backyard as I was waiting for my parents to arrive!
