The scutellinia were growing along a downed log, but this one was growing on a trametes bracket on the log
Right on the margins of land basically at sea level, and certainly washed upon by the winds/tides.
The cutest little fungi cups, have little hairs/lashes along the rim. Rust red coloring. None are larger than 1/2 inch across.
Growing at the ends of a decaying alder or elm.
