Head shape, scale height, and lack of dark wedge at base of dorsal insertion suggest mimic or channel shiner, but it slipped my mind to get an anal ray count. In the moment I figured it was just a mimic, but looking back it’s body depth, thickness, and coloration are more indicative of channel shiner. Any help would be appreciated, channels have been found in the area before, but it’s probably just a mimic all things considered.
