Gloria molted between yesterday and today.
Although the lighting is not ideal, I tried not to disturb it too much.
Get rid of the old skin ✔
Let the new skin dry ✔
Eat the old skin ✔
Go back to eat the fresh leaf ✔
She ate all day (and pooped ofc) but on Sunday(day 8) she changed things up a bit by going to the other side of the leaf.
I didn't take photos on day 9, but nothing out of the ordinary happened anyway; she kept eating.Today, however, I took a bunch, nothing happened either. I just felt like it... she's just eating and pooping.
Here you have it:
No photos she ate and pooped
She ate some more and then stopped. She walked over her leaf a little bit, stopped again, and stayed like that until late at night when she started diligently looking for the "perfect place."
"Technically, Gloria's last pic outside"
Gloria decided she was ready to pupate. She chose a notebook of mine for some reason.
It's been a long time since my last post, and that's because nothing has happened since then. Gloria finished its COOCUN that day (12/05/2023), and it hasn't emerged yet.
I've removed the "dome" I put over its cocoon to take these photos, so don't worry, Gloria will have something to climb and spread its wings when the time comes, and it will... hopefully
I still don't know what to do with adult Gloria Though
Gloria hasn't come out yet, but today marks one month since I discovered these caterpillars, so I'm making a post to celebrate, sorta, and also update that everything still appears to be in order.
