Began survey on Jones Trail/North at 0900hrs ended at 1100hrs.
Contributed 3 photos to the total of 11 dead newts.
Observed 33 vehicles, 2 bikes, and 2 pedestrians.
Date: March 27, 2024. Trail: Jones Trail North. Start time: 0830. End time: 1030. Weather conditions: air temp: 48 F, wind from south, gentle at beginning and moderate at end, blue skies for 3/4 of walk cloudy for last quarter.

Activities such as replacing grass fields with artificial turf, tree removal and the levee project, biodiversity has declined. Squirrel and rabbit population have been squeezed from natural settings. Prey birds are rarely seen in this area since the decline in prey. Observed 6 species of birds, although bird observation not complete.
