Hi! My name is Alyssa, I'm a dedicated hobby beekeeper and citizen scientist. My journey began at 13 when I got my first job on a farm. I spent eight enriching years working outside every day in every weather! Transitioning from farming, I embraced a role as a Plant Health Care Coordinator for a landscaping company. In this capacity, I crafted an IPM protocol aimed at reducing our environmental impact while fostering plant health. This experience allowed me to merge my passion for sustainable practices with my love for horticulture and entomology.

Whether it's through community gardening initiatives in the vibrant city of Milwaukee or volunteering with organizations like the Victory Garden and Wisconsin River Keeper Association, my commitment to the environment and citizen science remains unwavering.

This year, I am working on founding Wisconsin Pollinator Watch, a community-driven initiative that strives to document, protect, and celebrate the diverse pollinators in our great state.
