I just really like turtles!

I am a wildlife biologist for Cypress Environmental Consulting in Houston TX.

I received my M.S. in Integrative Biological Diversity from Western Connecticut State University. My thesis focused on the demographics of Diamondback terrapins (Malaclemys terrapin) in Connecticut as well as observing possible factors influencing these demographics.

I received my B.S. from Stephen F. Austin State University, with a degree in Forestry and an emphasis in Forestry Wildlife Management.

My work experience consists of:

  1. Field technician working for Stephen F. Austin State University assessing the alligator snapping turtle population in Texas.
  2. Working for the University of Florida through collaboration with USGS, conducting research on invasive reptiles in Everglades National Park and Big Cypress National Preserve, with the primarily species we were focusing on being Burmese python and Tegus.
  3. Field technician working for Stephen F. Austin State University assessing the alligator snapping turtle population in Texas.
  4. My undergraduate research consisted of comparing Mediterranean house geckos dietary, isotopic, and habitat niches vs. the native species of lizards within east Texas.
