I decided to take this nature walk at Buckmaster Pond in Westwood, MA. It was a beautiful day since it was very sunny with minimal clouds. It was around nine in the morning and I ended the walk around 9:45. It was 66-69 degrees Fahrenheit which meant all of Earth’s organisms were out. Birds were chirping everywhere above me so I tried to take a picture but they kept flying away. There were ducks in the pond and a lot of tiny white insects flying around my head. I saw a few chipmunks run across the pathways, and a lot of plants at the edges of the pond. Interestingly, near the edge of the pond, there were a lot of dead organisms. I saw several dead bugs that were weirdly well-preserved on tree leaves and branches. Also, I noticed a lot of manure which I believed to be goose’s. When I looked in the pond, I saw many different plants. It also smelled slightly musky. Because it was such a nice day, it was an enjoyable walk where I found many interesting things.
